Area of City Impact

This land is outside the City limits but development in these areas can greatly impact the City's ability to annex and grow in an orderly manner.

The City of Victor and Teton County have been working together for several years to plan for this code and map update to the Victor Area of Impact. Below there will be links to prior meetings and documents about the process.

August 12, 2024 - Teton County BoCC - Work Session

The County received updates on the schedule and discussed comments or questions regarding the review of the draft AOI ordinance and maps. Public comments were allowed.

August 14, 2024 - Victor City Council - Work Session and Action Item

The Council discussed the updated draft of the AOI and maade a formal recommendation to the Teton County BoCC on 1.) New AOI Boundary and Zoning Map, 2.) Draft Language of AOI, and 3.) County Zoning designations of areas being removed from AOI. Public comments were allowed.

September 10, 2024 - Teton County Planning and Zoning Commission - Public Hearing

The Commission considered and made a recommendation on the proposed county zoning designations for those areas being removed from the current AOI boundaries. Public comments were allowed.

October 28, 2024 - Teton County Board of County Commissioners - Public Hearing.

The BoCC considered several actions regarding the AOI at this meeting. They reviewed the recommendations from the City of Victor on 1.) New AOI Boundary and Zoning Map, 2.) Draft Language of AOI, and 3.) County Zoning designations of areas being removed from AOI. They also considered the recommendation of the P&Z regarding the County Zoning designations of areas being removed from AOI. Public comments were allowed.

November 18, 2024 - Teton County BoCC - Public Hearing/Work Session

The BoCC held a work session to provide comments to be edited to the AOI boundary map and zoning as well as the zoning assigned to the lands being removed from the AOI and comments for edit to the AOI land development code language. All edits were represented in the following public hearing.

December 16, 2024 - Teton County BoCC - Public Hearing

The BoCC held a public hearing to consider the updated AOI boundary map, AOI zoning, and Zoning of lands being removed from the AOI and updates to the AOI land development code language. Public Comment regarding the updates were allowed.

December 23, 2024 - Teton County BoCC - Public Meeting

The BoCC has approved the findings of fact and official adopting ordinances. The effective dates of the new code is January 8, 2025.

January 22, 2025 - Victor City Council - Action Item

Now that the County BoCC has adopted the new AOI code and zoning map, the City approved the removal of the prior language of Title 8 and adopt that new AOI code and map by reference.

February 24, 2025 - Teton County BoCC - Public Meeting

The County BoCC considered an application for reconsideration of the AOI in regards to the written decision and the zoning of 4 parcels. This was continued to later in the week.

February 27, 2025 - Teton County BoCC - Special Meeting

The County BoCC voted to continue the application for reconsideration.
