CITY OF VICTOR AND VICTOR SKATE PARK FOUNDATION TO HOST FIRST ANNUAL VICTORFEST

Community celebration brings together local recreation, organizations, food and live music October 9 at Sherman Park

VICTOR, Idaho (Sept. 14, 2026) — The City of Victor, together with the Victor Skate Park Foundation, will host the first annual VictorFest on Friday, October 9, from 4–8 p.m. at Sherman Park.

Created as a celebration of locals, by locals, VictorFest will bring together Teton Valley organizations, businesses, musicians, and residents for an evening of games, demonstrations, hands-on activities, food, and live music throughout the park.

Think community picnic meets small-town field day meets harvest-season block party.

VictorFest grew out of plans to celebrate the grand opening of the completed Sherman Park skatepark and quickly expanded into a larger opportunity to celebrate the people, organizations, and community spaces that make Victor home. The first-year event is intentionally being kept fun, free, and fairly simple, while giving residents a chance to get to know some of the nonprofits, businesses, public safety organizations, community groups, and City departments that help make Victor work.

“VictorFest really started with a simple idea: let’s throw a party for Victor,” said newly appointed Mayor Sue Muncaster. “Sherman Park brings together so much of what makes this community special, and we wanted an event that did the same thing. Mostly, we want people to come out, have some fun, meet someone they don’t know, and remember why we love living here.”

At the center of the evening will be the Sherman Park Shenanigans—silly, high-spirited games, contests, and friendly competitions where Victor residents can test their mettle against their neighbors without taking themselves too seriously. Activities will be designed for all ages, abilities, and levels of athletic ambition, or lack thereof.

Mountain Bike the Tetons and the Victor Skate Park Foundation will host games, races, and demonstrations at the bike park and skatepark.

“VSF is stoked to be a part of Victor Fest this October,” said Jeff Cominsky of the Victor Skate Park Foundation. “Come celebrate our Phase I grand opening and learn about what's next for the skatepark in Sherman Park.”

The Teton Disc Golf Club will offer a workshop on disc golf techniques, Teton Juggler will demonstrate their skills in the skatepark bowl, and Valley Adaptive Sports is also planning an activity for the event.

Live music will come from two Teton Valley bands, Ditch Cats and Sunday Killers. Citizen 33 and Guidepost Brewing will host beer tents, while In Season will serve pizza from its food truck. Additional food and libation vendors will be added; attendees are welcome to bring their own picnics to enjoy in the park.

Local nonprofits, businesses, public safety partners, and City services will also be on hand. The Valley of the Tetons Library will share information about library programs and offer residents an opportunity to sign up for library cards, while Mountain Roots Education will host an educational workshop. Residents can also learn more about the Courier/Sherman Park workforce housing project.

City of Victor Public Works will give residents an up-close look at some of the City’s vehicles and equipment. Kids and families will even get a chance to create “muck monsters” for the City’s septic truck to vacuum up as part of a hands-on demonstration.
