NOTICE : Bridge Key 33038 - Bridge Replacement at 1000 S (Crystal Ave)  Bridge will be replaced with a new premanufactured steel bridge and Cast-In-Place abutment system. Work will begin after Sept 1st, closing 1000 S ( Crystal Ave) to through traffic and must be completed within 75 working days of starting construction. Once started, work must continuously progress until completion, except for paving. If all  project structure and roadway work items are complete, and weather does not permit project 405 paving to occur within the specification requirements, time may be suspended by the Engineer until weather allows. 
Depending on weather limitations, paving may be delayed until spring, April 1, 2026. Please see the attachment for detour mapping.
This project is being guided by Idaho Transportation Department Specifications and Forsgren Engineering.

Crystal Bridge Replacement

The City of Victor will hold a Public Meeting for their Water System Facility Planning Study on Wednesday August 27th, 2025, at 6 P.M. as part of the City Council Meeting at the Victor City Hall, 138 N Main St, Suite 201, Victor ID 83455. Public Hearing: LU2023-04 – Amendment to Development Agreement – Sherman Park – Snavely Group

The Council will hold a public hearing to consider an amendment to the development agreement to extend the construction commencement date to November 1, 2025. The development agreement was originally approved on July 24, 2024, and first amended on November 12, 2024, for the approved rezoning to CX – Commercial Mixed Use, on approximate 3.2-acre part of the parcel identified by number RPB3N45E117200. Sealed Bids for the Agate Pathway Extension will be received by the City of Victor at the Public Works Facility, 280 Stevens Way, Victor, ID.  The bid opening will be at 11:30 am on August 6th, at the City of Victor Public Works Facility, 280 Stevens Way, Victor, ID. The project consists of approximately 500 linear feet of a 10’ wide asphalt pathway along Agate Avenue South of Larkspur.

The City of Victor, Idaho, is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from highly experienced and qualified engineering firms to provide comprehensive engineering design services for a new Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The City intends to utilize the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) project delivery method for the construction of this facility.

Project Background: The City of Victor is embarking on this critical infrastructure project to design and construct its own WWTP due to challenges with the existing partnership with the City of Driggs for treatment services, including Clean Water Act violations and capacity issues at the Driggs WWTP.

Scope of Services: The selected firm will be responsible for comprehensive services across the project lifecycle, including Preliminary Engineering, Design Engineering, and Construction Engineering. This includes, but is not limited to, wastewater characterization, process selection, detailed design and layout, environmental control systems, sustainability considerations, automation and control systems (SCADA), and ensuring full compliance with Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (IDEQ) regulations (e.g., IPDES and Reuse Permits). The Selected Engineer will also actively collaborate with the City and the selected CMAR firm throughout all phases of the project.

VICTOR, IDAHO – The City of Victor, in coordination with the Teton County Sheriff's Office, Teton Fire and Rescue, and Teton County Emergency Management, is announcing important updates to this year's 4th of July Parade.

Road closures that will go into effect at 8:00 AM on July 4th and include:

Intersections of Main Street with Dogwood and Birch. Residents and visitors can access these side streets from their opposite ends.

Traffic Detours will go into effect at 9:30 AM on July 4th:

North- and South bound traffic will be detoured at Baseline/Hwy 33 on the south end of town7000/Hwy 33 on the north end of town,

West Center (Hwy 31) between Main St. and Crystal Ave (1000 W)

No street parking will be permitted on Main St. from 2 PM, July 3 – 12 PM, July 4th

Parking enforcement will begin at 2 PM on July 3rd  

Side street parking will remain available for parade attendees

ROAD CLOSURES FOR STREET MAINTENANCE ON June 20th  & 21st, 2025.

All watering of lawns are prohibited on Jun 19th, 20th and 21st.

On Friday, June 20th and Saturday Jun 21, starting at 7:30 A.M. the City will be applying a microseal surface as part of the street maintenance program) This asphalt maintenance is being funded by your roadway levy money. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that we can work together to help maintain our streets and avoid costly replacements.

Public Works Dept will be sweeping roads Mon Jun 16th thru Wed Jun 18th in preparation of the treatment. The following streets will be closed for maintenance between 7:30 A.M. until late afternoon on Jun 20th:

The maintenance crews will need full access to the roadways. Any vehicle that is parked on these streets after 8:00 A.M. will be towed at the owner's expense.

The roadways need to be dry and cannot be sprayed during application. Please turn off all of the sprinklers on this day. City Staff may enter your property to shut down the sprinklers.

1.       DO NOT DRIVE on fresh oil until barricades are opened by city staff.

2.       TRASH/RECYCLE CONTAINERS MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE STREET.

3.       If you plan to be out of town, DO NOT leave vehicles and/or trailers parked on the street.

4.       The product should readily wash off vehicle fenders, etc., with soapy water if cleaned soon after contact. If not removed quickly, it may be necessary to use a petroleum-based solvent.

5.       Drivers are cautioned not to drive on the fresh Oil prior to opening of the streets.

6.       The City of Victor will not be responsible for the removal or clean-up of the product tracked onto private property, floor coverings, vehicles, etc.

Street Treatment

Keeping irrigation canals clean and flowing properly is crucial for effective water management, especially with junior water rights. Here's why it matters:

When canals are clogged with debris, less water flows through them. Clean canals allow water to move efficiently, seeping into the ground along the way. This natural seepage is valuable because it recharges underground aquifers - natural water storage systems beneath our feet.

Well-maintained canals create a win-win situation. The water that seeps downward replenishes aquifers, which helps maintain groundwater levels for everyone. At the same time, this process maximizes the amount of water that reaches its intended destination for immediate use.

If canals aren't properly maintained, less water reaches fields and less seeps into aquifers. This often forces water users to purchase additional storage water to compensate - an unnecessary expense that proper maintenance can help avoid.

For those with junior water rights (meaning others get priority during shortages), maximizing every drop is especially important. Clean, efficient canals help extend limited water supplies further into the dry season when water becomes scarce.

Simply put: Clear canals mean more water reaches its destination, more water recharges underground supplies naturally, and water users can make their allotment last longer without buying expensive supplemental water - keeping both crops and bank accounts healthier through the season.

Teton County Launches Safe Streets for All Safety Action Plan Community Invited to Participate in Public Outreach Kicking Off June 6, 2025.

Driggs, ID — May 28, 2025 — Teton County is proud to announce the launch of its Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Safety Action Plan, a major initiative aimed at improving roadway safety for all residents and visitors. This planning effort is made possible through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Grant Program, which provides federal funding to help communities develop comprehensive strategies to prevent roadway deaths and serious injuries. 

A Safety Action Plan is a data-driven, community-informed approach to reducing traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries. It identifies high-risk areas, sets safety goals, and outlines actionable steps to create safer streets for people of all ages and abilities—whether walking, biking, driving, or using transit. 

Public Engagement:  
Public participation is a cornerstone of the Teton County SS4A Safety Action Plan. The County invites all residents to engage in shaping the future of local transportation safety through a series of outreach efforts taking place from June through November 2025. 

The public engagement campaign will kick off with a Town Hall and Website Launch on:

The website will offer an accessible way for community members to participate throughout the planning process, even if they cannot attend in-person events.

City Council will be considering a continued public hearing regarding LU2025-03 for Code Text Amendments regarding Section 10.9.3 of the Land Development Code. 

The Public Works Department is re-establishing our North Well, following needed repairs. Staff will be flushing hydrants as part of this operation, and disturbances in the water main are likely to occur. These actions could make the water cloudy. Teton Valley Emergency Responders to host Wildland Fire Preparedness Event

Local community invited to join effort in reducing wildfire risk across Teton County on May 3, 2025

TETON VALLEY, Idaho, April 15, 2025 – As the snowpack in the lower elevations begins to recede and with summer right around the corner, it is critical to ensure your home and family are prepared in the event of a wildfire.

The Teton Valley Community Wildfire Preparedness event is a collaborative effort of local, state, and federal firefighting agencies; Teton County Fire and Rescue, Teton County Emergency Management, The Nature Conservancy - Fire Learning Network, the Caribou-Targhee National Forest and other partners. This event encourages residents of Teton Valley to prepare their homes and families for a wildfire by anticipating changing weather conditions, taking precautions on dry windy days and knowing how to evacuate quickly when asked by emergency responders.

Many residents living in high-risk wildfire areas want to take steps to increase their fire safety but are unsure about how to start the process. They can find the information they need to accomplish wildfire risk reduction projects around their home and within their community May 3, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Driggs City Plaza in Driggs, Idaho.

Through this free educational event, residents of Teton Valley can learn more about the importance of wildfire preparedness and planning, defensible space and how to get a home ignition zone evaluation. Additional activities include a visit from Smokey Bear, wildland fire trucks and free hot dogs and hamburgers, while they last.

Here are some actions residents can take to reduce the risk of homes and property becoming fuel for wildfire:

· Clear needles, leaves and other debris from roofs, gutters, porches, and decks.

· Remove all flammable outdoor items from decks and porches (cushions, door mats, and portable propane tanks).

· Firewood piles can ignite from wildfire embers and then ignite your home. Keep piles at least 30 feet away from buildings.
