Victor City Council Vacancy

The City of Victor is accepting applications from qualified Victor residents interested in serving on the Victor City Council.

This vacancy comes at an important time for the City. Victor has experienced a period of public strain and disagreement, while also working through important issues and opportunities that will shape the future of our community. The Mayor and City Council are committed to an appointment process that is open, orderly, accessible, and fair to both applicants and the public.

The appointed Councilmember will serve until the next general city election in 2027. To continue serving beyond that time, the appointee would need to run for election and be elected by Victor voters.

Application Deadline

Applications must be submitted by August 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

Interested residents are encouraged to submit their materials before the deadline to be considered for appointment to the vacant City Council seat.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

Under Idaho Code § 50-702, a City Councilmember must be a qualified elector of the City of Victor.

Generally, applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be a United States citizen
  • Reside within the City of Victor
  • Meet applicable residency requirements
  • Be registered to vote as required by law

Eligibility will be subject to verification by the County Clerk. The appointed Councilmember must continue to meet the qualifications required by Idaho law while serving on the City Council.
