FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Teton County Launches Safe Streets for All Safety Action Plan Community Invited to Participate in Public Outreach Kicking Off June 6, 2025.

Driggs, ID — May 28, 2025 — Teton County is proud to announce the launch of its Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Safety Action Plan, a major initiative aimed at improving roadway safety for all residents and visitors. This planning effort is made possible through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Grant Program, which provides federal funding to help communities develop comprehensive strategies to prevent roadway deaths and serious injuries.

A Safety Action Plan is a data-driven, community-informed approach to reducing traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries. It identifies high-risk areas, sets safety goals, and outlines actionable steps to create safer streets for people of all ages and abilities—whether walking, biking, driving, or using transit.

Public Engagement:
Public participation is a cornerstone of the Teton County SS4A Safety Action Plan. The County invites all residents to engage in shaping the future of local transportation safety through a series of outreach efforts taking place from June through November 2025

The public engagement campaign will kick off with a Town Hall and Website Launch on:

Friday, June 6, 2025
4:00–7:00 PM
Teton County Courthouse Commissioners’ Chambers
150 Courthouse Drive, Driggs, ID

At the town hall, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the Safety Action Plan, share local knowledge and concerns, and provide input on safety priorities. Staff and project team members will be on hand to answer questions and gather feedback.

On the same day, the County will launch a dedicated project website, featuring information about the plan, upcoming events, and an online survey designed to gather additional community input. The website will offer an accessible way for community members to participate throughout the planning process, even if they cannot attend in-person events.

Visit the project website after June 6th to stay up to date and learn about community engagement opportunities.
