Comprehensive Resources Available During Teton Pass Closure

In response to the temporary closure of Teton Pass, Teton County, Idaho, along with the cities of Victor, Driggs, and Tetonia, the Teton Regional Economic Coalition and community nonprofits, are working collaboratively to support commuters, businesses, and travelers affected by this situation. To mitigate the impact of the closure, numerous resources have been mobilized to assist those in need.

Teton County, Idaho Teton Pass Closure Information Group: A collaborative of the local governments, businesses, organizations, and nonprofits in Teton Valley, Idaho, working to support our community during the temporary closure of Wyoming Highway 22 at Teton Pass.

Teton County, Idaho (June 18, 2024) – In response to the temporary closure of Teton Pass, Teton County, Idaho, along with the cities of Victor, Driggs, and Tetonia, the Teton Regional Economic Coalition and community nonprofits, are working collaboratively to support commuters, businesses, and travelers affected by this situation.

To mitigate the impact of the closure, numerous resources have been mobilized to assist those in need. These include:

  • Free Fares on the Start Bus: the Teton Valley to Jackson, WY route is free until June 28th, 2024. 
  • Financial Assistance: Rent stipends, gas gift cards, and other financial aid to help offset increased commuting costs and other expenses for individuals.
  • Community Foundation’s Emergency Response Fund Grant: Businesses, Governments, Nonprofits, and Organizations providing services to support those affected by the Pass Closure or acutely affected by the closure can apply for funding.
  • Housing Coordination: Assistance in securing temporary housing options in Jackson, Wyoming, for those affected by the road closure.
  • Additional Childcare & Petcare Services: Financial assistance and select centers offering extended hours for childcare to support families during the closure, as well as community members offering pet care when owners are away for longer periods of time.
  • Small Business Association Loans: Businesses can apply for low-interest loans for businesses affected by the closure. 
  • Alternative Route information for travelers from Teton Valley to Jackson, WY. 
  • Community Resources: for online rideshare, food assistance, financial aid, mental health support, and more.
