FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: VICTORFEST IS ONE WEEK AWAY — AND VICTOR IS SHOWING UP

First annual community celebration brings local music, recreation, food, organizations, and plenty of shenanigans to Sherman Park on October 9

VICTOR, Idaho (Oct 5, 2026) — What started as a simple idea for locals to celebrate locals has quickly grown into a community-wide event.

The first annual VictorFest takes place Friday, October 9, from 4–8 p.m. at Sherman Park. The event is free and open to all ages.

Think community picnic meets small-town field day meets harvest-season block party.

From skateboarding and bike competitions to live music, story time, Touch-a-Truck, local food and beverages, workforce housing tours, and plenty of Sherman Park Shenanigans, VictorFest is a casual celebration of the people, organizations, and community spaces that make Victor home.

“VictorFest really started with a simple idea: let’s have an end-of-summer celebration of everything that’s great about Victor,” said Mayor Sue Muncaster. “Sherman Park brings together so much of what makes this community special, and we wanted an event that did the same thing.

The response has been exactly what we hoped for — local organizations, businesses, and residents stepping up and saying, ‘We want to be part of this.’ Mostly, we want people to come out, have some fun, meet someone they don’t know, and remember why we love living here,” said Muncaster

LIVE MUSIC | 4–8 P.M.

Four local acts will take the stage throughout the evening:

4:00–4:30 p.m. — Parasomnia

4:45–5:30 p.m. — Ditch Cat

5:45–6:45 p.m. — The Sunday Killers

7:00–8:00 p.m. — Church Bats

BIKES + SKATEBOARDS

The bike and skate parks will be active throughout VictorFest.

Bike activities include free bike safety checks from 4–6 p.m., Jump Jam registration at 4 p.m., the Jump Jam at 4:30 p.m., bike games at 5:15 p.m., and open “Bike With Us” time from 6–8 p.m.

At the skatepark, open “Skate With Us” sessions begin at 4 p.m., Teton Juggler performs at 5 p.m., and the Best Skate Trick competition begins at 5:45 p.m., followed by open skating from 6

p.m. on.

COMMUNITY EXPO + DEMOS | 4–6 P.M.

Local nonprofits, businesses, public safety partners, recreation groups and City departments will offer activities and demonstrations throughout Sherman Park.

Participants include Mountain Roots Education, with a foraged tea workshop; Second Act Thrift Store, with a photo booth; and Valley of the Tetons Library, offering library card sign-ups and story time. Community recreation groups will offer creative games, adaptive sports equipment, and other hands-on activities.

City of Victor Public Works and Teton County Fire District will host Touch-a-Truck from 4–6 p.m., giving kids and families an up-close look at City and Emergency vehicles and equipment. Kids can also create “Mud Monsters” for the City’s septic truck to vacuum up during demonstrations.

SHERMAN PARK SHENANIGANS

At the heart of VictorFest are the Sherman Park Shenanigans — silly, high-spirited games, contests and friendly competitions where neighbors can test their mettle without taking themselves too seriously.

Activities are designed for all ages, abilities and levels of athletic ambition — or lack thereof.

COURIER / SHERMAN PARK WORKFORCE HOUSING

The Courier team will be on site to answer questions about the Sherman Park workforce housing project and offer tours of a newly completed unit during VictorFest.

FOOD + BEVERAGES | 4–8 P.M.

Come hungry — or bring a picnic.

Local food trucks and beverages will be available throughout the event, including offerings from Grand Teton Brewing, Guidepost Brewing Company, Citizen 33 Brewery and Highpoint Cider. Residents are also encouraged to bring their own picnic, find a spot in Sherman Park and spend the evening with friends and neighbors. CoV_VictorFest_Press Release_Oc…

ABOUT VICTORFEST

VictorFest grew out of plans to celebrate the grand opening of the completed Sherman Park skatepark and quickly expanded into a larger opportunity to celebrate the people, organizations and community spaces that make Victor home.

The first-year event is intentionally being kept fun, free, and fairly simple, while giving residents a chance to meet some of the nonprofits, businesses, public safety organizations, community groups, and City departments that help make Victor work.
